Home automation takes advantage of the signals received from the alarm system, to activate many different functions. Here are a few examples:

Personalized welcome message:

The alarm system, using the fingerprint reader, identifies that who arrived home, is Mr. Jones. The home automation system then can announce the number of voice messages and emails waiting for Mr Jones.

Automatic light control:

If the alarm system is armed in away mode, the home automation system can turn off the lights in the house.
If the alarm goes off, the automation system can turn on all the lights in the house, making difficult to the burglar to hide.

Touch screen control:

From a touch screen connected to the home automation system we can arm and disarm the security system.
We can see at a glance, which doors and windows are open, looking at the graphics on the touch screen.
