Equipment, once dedicated to Home Theatres only, made its way to our living room, bedroom, etc. It is now common practice to have surround sound and a large HD TV in all the major rooms of the house.

Marketing "experts" were already predicting the extinction of Dedicated Home Theatres.
As usual, the opposite happened. People who got used to having good quality audio and video in their living room, became even more interested in building dedicated High-End home theatres.

Building a home theatre, is fun. We have a few suggestions to keep in mind, to get a HI-FI return from your investment.

1. Balance your Components budget. A high end Receiver will not be able to excel without a set of good speakers. If you buy the top of the line projector without the matching quality screen, you are wasting your money.

2. Calibration. Your projector will have acceptable picture quality, out of the box.Tuning your projector to your screen and media source however, will give you a 150% value for your investment.

3. Pay attention (and some money) to control. Impress the audience with your showtime scene! Your intelligent remote will turn on all your theatre equipment, open the curtains (lower your screen), dim down your lights, with a single click.
